I've been a big fan of Taco Zocalo since discovering their first location in Reston around 2017. There really was no decent halal mexican/latino dining option in the area before then. The Ashburn location is just as good as the original and fortunately this new Sterling spot is too! Consistency is key. I love just about everything on the menu with beef but the birria tacos dipped in consome are absolutely superb! Nothing else comes close though I also enjoy the elote, pulled beef chimichanga, steak quesadilla, and flour tacos with brisket or chorizo along with their awesome house-made salsas. Gotta end with the tres leches and churro :-) Also gotta give a shout-out to the wonderful staff in a clean neat spot.

On a cold rainy day, the Birria Tacos are the perfect comfort food! The consome really stood out, as it was light and refreshing. It's usually very greasy and oily elsewhere. I tried some of their in house salsas, but kept going for the Pineapple Salsa. The Tres Leches cake is also very good, and would pair really well with a black coffee. The quality of the food is matched by the amazing friendly service from Karla at the counter. I look forward to coming back!

All the locations are perfect to enjoy, have laughs and make memories! The employees are trained well and act like professionals. The owner is an excellent worker and has had done a profoundly great job to set up a restaurant of dreams.

Nice comfortable seating. Food was great. Everything tasted as if it was just freshly made. I wasn’t sure which meat I wanted for my taco’s so they gave me a sample of a few different meats. I had 4 different tacos - BBQ Beef, Beef Barbacoa, Gilled Fish, and Chicken Tinga and all of them were packed with flavor.

This new location of Taco Zocalo is fresh, bright and with easy parking. They now have Birria on the menu full time which is wonderful as it is excellent and I had been having to carefully plan my visits to get it. Their food is fresh, well spiced, and made with care. The owner/foubder is often on site and the staff are well trained and care about your experience. They just added enchiladas to the menu and it’s a tasty new treat.

First time at Taco Zocalo won’t be our last! We got the birria tacos (served every day at this location!) and the pulled chicken chimichanga. Both dishes were delicious but the birria was especially good, one of the best we’ve had! We also loved that they had table side sauces that were so good, and that there’s plenty of seating

Top-rate tacos! Taco Zocalo balances flavor and ingredients perfectly to create a unique experience compared to other local and chain joints. I really like how they just gently fry their corn tortillas in oil and that they layer 3 shells for each taco to give added sturdiness. We will be back again and often and will look forward to trying their other options.

An interesting mix. The atmosphere is fast casual but the food is above expectations. They also brought food to the table. A soda.fountain might be nice but the ice water is free . Our birria tacos and chimichanga were awesome. 10/10 will try again.
